What was Robert Kraft doing at Rush Limbaugh's wedding? The Patriots owner knows the conservative commentator from Palm Beach, where both own property. But we're told he attended the wedding as much to support his friend Elton John, who performed at the reception. Others VIPs at the weekend wedding in Palm Beach included Karl Rove, Fred Thompson, George Brett, Sean Hannity, Rudolph Giuliani, James Carville, and Tom Watson. Kraft and Limbaugh became better acquainted a few years back when the talk show host was considering buying the St. Louis Rams, the football team in his native Missouri. What does the bond say about Kraft's politics? Not much. He's given to candidates of both parties, and counts plenty of Dems among his friends, including Governor Deval Patrick.
Patriots owner Robert Kraft was among the guests at Rush Limbaugh's wedding over the weekend. The 59-year-old conservative talk show host got hitched for the fourth time, and the lucky lady this time is 33-year-old Kathryn Rogers, whom Limbaugh met six years ago at a charity golf tournament. The Palm Beach Post's Jose Lambiet reports that Elton John serenaded the couple - and their 400 guests - in the Ponce de Leon ballroom of Florida's fabled Breakers hotel in Palm Beach. (Sir Elton, an advocate of gay marriage, might seem an unlikely choice to croon at the right-winger's reception, but there are reports he was paid $1 million.) Other guests included Bush adviser Karl Rove, actor-politician Fred Thompson, former Major Leaguer George Brett, Fox News's Sean Hannity, New York City mayor Rudolph Giuliani, former Clinton adviser James Carville and wife, Mary Matalin, and golfer Tom Watson.
