Ahh, awards shows and snarky Twitter handles. It's almost inevitable.
If you missed the Grammys last night, you missed quite the display of hats. Sure, Madonna rocked a cowgirl hat, Daft Punk did its robot thing, and Zac Brown's head was predictably covered. But it was "Get Lucky" singer Pharrell William's oversize brown hat that received all the attention. Just look at Beyonce's reaction.
And, yes, the hat started a Twitter account -- @Pharrellhat. Of course.
As of this writing, the hat has almost 15,000 followers.
Which brings to mind other snarky Twitter handles that have sprung up from awards shows. There was Ben Affleck's beard, found at @Afflecks_beard, from last year's Academy Awards.
And, though the Boston native has shaved the beard, the tweets keep coming. The beard's last tweet was January 12. But the beard, at only 768 followers, has a long way to go to compete with Pharrell's hat.
Anne Hathaway's nipples even tweet. The actress, who won an Oscar last year for Best Supporting Actress in Les Miserables, wore a Prada dress without a bra. This was the inspiration for the Twitter handle @HathawayNipple. There are more than 4,000 followers on that account, which hasn't been active since March.

Hmmm, what will the Oscars bring? Perhaps Christian Bale's American Hustle toupee will live tweet the show?
