Basal cell carcinoma is the most frequently occurring cancer, with about 2.8 million cases in the United States each year, according to The Skin Cancer Foundation. It almost never spreads and is only life-threatening in very rare cases, but can be highly disfiguring if left untreated
Jackman, 45, posted this post-treatment photo of his bandaged nose on Instagram, writing, "Deb said to get the mark on my nose checked. Boy, was she right! I had a basil cell carcinoma. Please don't be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!"
We're glad he got it checked out and is on the mend.
