Well, what did she expect?

Julianne Hough struck a nerve last Friday when she stepped out in her Halloween costume as "Orange is the New Black" character Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren. The 25-year-old actress attended the Casamigos Tequila Halloween party in Beverly Hills wearing an orange jumpsuit, a name tag, and full blackface with a group of friends, also dressed as characters from the hit Netflix series.

Following backlash, Hough took to Twitter on Saturday to apologize for her costume, in an extended Tweet that stated:

I am a huge fan of the show Orange is the New black, actress Uzo Aduba, and the character she has created. It certainly was never my intention to be disrespectful or demeaning to anyone in any way. I realize my costume hurt and offended people and I truly apologize.

The "Safe Haven" star's brother, "Dancing with the Stars" dancer, Derek Hough, told E! News that his younger sister was "mortified" and "so apologetic."

"Obviously, it wasn't her brightest moment in her life," he continued from backstage at Monday night's show. "But hopefully we can move on."

Aduba has yet to comment on Hough's costume, but has remained active on Twitter. In fact, she posted this gem last night:

What do you think of Hough's apology?
