Singer Chris Brown is going to rehab to learn anger management, says his lawyer.
The 24-year-old Grammy winner was in trouble with the law again this week. Brown was arrested early Sunday morning for allegedly punching a man in Washington, D.C. The felony assault charge was reduced to misdemeanor assault, reports the Associated Press. Brown is still on probation after his 2009 attack on former girlfriend Rihanna.
Here is what his rep had to say in a statement:
Chris Brown has elected to enter a rehab facility. His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point.
Mark Geragos, Brown's attorney, said the singer checked into a facility to be treated for anger issues.
Brown could face up to four years in jail if a judge determines he violated his probation for the Rihanna attack.
