Just days after Usher's 5-year-old son Usher Raymond V nearly drowned during a pool accident at the singer's Atlanta home, a judge granted an emergency custody meeting to "The Voice" coach's ex-wife, Tameka Raymond. Raymond, who is the mother of both Usher Raymond V and the couple's younger son Naviyd Ely, 4, requested an emergency hearing Tuesday, stating that the child "suffered a near-death accident while left unsupervised" and seeking temporary primary custody.
The child attempted to retrieve a toy from the pool drain when his arm got stuck. As filled in a police report obtained by CNN: "Sound technician Eugene Stachurski rescued the child from the drain and used CPR to revive him on the side of the pool."
According to the document filed with the Superior Court of Fulton County, Raymond states: "It is not in the best interest of the minor children to be left alone with third party caregivers while petitioner travels around the world for his work-related obligations."
Raymond continues to state that the singer is out of the Atlanta area "eighty-five percent (85%) of each month" and requested temporary primary custody as well as "temporary final decision making authority with regard to the issues of the children's education, healthcare, religion and extracurricular activities."
Usher Raymond V was rushed to the intensive care unit at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Hospital following the pool incident Monday and according to his mother's Twitter, her eldest son is currently "resting well."

Usher was granted primary custody of his two sons last year in a messy courtroom battle, following the couple's 2009 divorce. According to a 2012 Huffington Post story on the settlement, User told the court that "Foster was 'incapable of being a proper parent' to the boys, adding that she 'does not have the emotional stability to or capacity to bond with them, and therefore she is handicapped.'"
Tameka's 11-year-old son and Usher's former stepson, Kile Glover, died tragically in 2012 following a boating accident at Lake Lanier in Georgia.
The judge granted a hearing for Friday.
