An audience cam caught a shot of Will, Jaden, and Willow Smith with mouths wide during one of the performances at last night's MTV Video Music Awards. Early reports surfaced that the jaw-dropping moment came during Miley Cyrus's performance of "We Can't Stop" and "Blurred Lines," but Slate reported that it was Lady Gaga's show-opening rendition of "Applause" that spurred it. Either way it was priceless, and it prompted us to scour footage from the awards show to find seven more unforgettable celebrity reaction shots.

1. Drake made friends with the floor while Miley performed

Why was Drake staring so intently at the floor during Miley Cyrus's performance? Maybe he isn't a fan of her song "We Can't Stop?" Or maybe, being the classy guy that he is, he chose to avert his eyes from the twerking spectacle she was making of herself like we did.

2. Rihanna looked bored and Zayn Malik had to look away

Rihanna is no stranger to pushing the envelope, so it's not surprising that it looked like Miley's performance didn't faze her. Recently-engaged One Direction member Zayn Malik, on the other hand, had to look away.

3. Taylor Swift celebrated BFF Selena Gomez winning best pop video by doing a slinky dance ...

When a friend gets a major accolade, it's normal to writhe around like a serpent, right? Apparently when you're Taylor Swift it is. The "Red" singer got uber excited for Selena, hugged her, and then started her snake ritual. Was she doing it for ex Harry Styles, who was on stage? Or for the millions watching at home? We'll never know.

4. ... and then throwing her hands into the air when Selena was accepting the award

Her dance wasn't the end of the celebration. The cameras cut to T-Swizzle when Selena was making her acceptance speech and she threw her hands in the air praising the VMA gods, we're guessing. Whatever she was doing, it looked a lot like Kristen Wiig's "Target Lady." Fast forward to 1:06 in this clip to see what we mean.

5. Lynn Harless grasped at heart when son Justin Timberlake thanked his folks while accepting the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award

Justin Timberlake was arguably the man of the hour at the VMAs. He won the Video Vanguard award, reunited 'N Sync for an albeit brief performance, and serenaded the audience with a medley of his solo hits that seemed to last for 20 minutes. The best part of the whole thing? When he thanked his folks and the camera panned to his mom, stepfather, and manager. Mom Lynn Harless grasped at her chest when he gave her the shout out and we all swooned. What a man.

6. Kevin Hart compliments Lady Gaga's "yams" and she blushes

When Kevin Hart made a speech/tribute to Lady Gaga's rump, we thought she'd take it in stride and perhaps show off her v-string seashell get-up she wore throughout the night. Instead, the singer covered her mouth (and her nether regions) after he said he wanted to drop something near her just so he could put his face close to her butt. Think that's the first time anyone has made her blush?

7. Drake applauded Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

Drake didn't take home the award for best hip-hop video, but he's well mannered and found it in him to applaud Macklemore & Ryan Lewis whose single "Can't Hold Us" won the honor. Stay classy, Drake.
