Publicist: Actor Dennis Farina of 'Law & Order' dies at 69

Dennis Farina, who made a career of playing a police officer and detective on shows such as "Law & Order," "Crime Story," and "Miami Vice" died at the age of 69, according to his publicist per an Associated Press report.

Farina's first acting credit, according to IMDB, was in 1981's "Thief" starring James Caan and James Belushi. He followed it with 74 other projects, including a pair of episodes this year on Fox hit "New Girl."
