Britney Spears and agent Jason Trawick officially called off their engagement just after it hit its one year anniversary late last week. "The X-Factor" judge's rep, Jeff Raymond, exclusively confirmed the news to PEOPLE, stating that the decision to end the engagement had been "mutually agreed" upon, adding: "As two mature adults, they came to the difficult decision to go their separate ways while continuing to remain friends." also quotes a close source that implies the couple just wanted "different things," while a second unnamed source adds, "Britney had a lot of issues with Jason doing his own thing in business and seeing his friends. In her perfect world he would have been home with her 24-seven."

Trawick was named co-conservator (with father, Jamie Spears) of Spears' well-being following his engagement to the pop star back in April 2011, but the AP confirmed he has resigned as of Friday. Jamie will resume full responsibility for the sometimes troubled starlet who has been under court-ordered conservatorship since her much publicized 2008 meltdown.

Details of the exes financial settlements have not been released.
