Twitter was ablaze with commentary during last night's presidential debate between President Barack Obama and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

And celebrities couldn't resist adding their thoughts to the mix too.

In other debate news on Twitter....Big Bird tweets were flying all over the place after Mitt Romney announced he'd like to cut funding for public broadcasting, mentioning the "Sesame Street" mainstay by name. According to Twitter, there were “17,000 Tweets per minute for ‘Big Bird’ after Romney mentioned him, reports Entertainment Weekly. Read more at Entertainment Weekly
