"And I Am Telling You I Am Not Going." That's right, Jennifer Hudson stayed past the thunder and lighting at last night's Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular, belting out the anthem that propelled her into stardom and helped her win an Oscar for her role in 2006's "Dreamgirls." Before the fireworks display, Bostonians sung along while Hudson's voice boomed across the Esplanade as the Boston Pops played on. Earlier in the night, the Dropkick Murphys took the stage, a fitting celebration for concert-goers accustomed to singing to the band's "I'm Shipping Up to Boston," a regular tune in the Pops Fourth of July program. In other celebrity Fourth of July fun ... "Smash" star Katharine McPhee sang a rousing "National Anthem" in New York City's Bryant Park, where Tide's 6,000-square-foot American flag was unveiled.

Ben Affleck, wife Jennifer Garner, and their three-year-old daughter Seraphina were decked out in red, white, and blue at a celebration Wednesday in Santa Monica, Calif. People magazine has a photo.

And new "X Factor" judge Britney Spears tweeted a family photo of herself, fiance Jason Trawick, and sons Preston, 6, and Jayden, 5, spending time together in Hawaii for a family vacation. The pop star tweeted: "Happy 4th of July from the Aloha State" Thursday morning.

Meanwhile, Katie Holmes didn't let her relationship woes get in the way of taking daughter Suri out for some pre-July Fourth festivities in NYC on Tuesday. The actress, who announced she's divorcing Tom Cruise, went out for ice cream at Sundaes and Cones with Suri, and the pair was later spotted shopping at Whole Foods on July 4, according to E! News. "As they were leaving the store, Holmes reportedly told a reporter from the New York Daily News, 'I'm alright. Thank you,'" E! News reports.
