Callie Thorne knows she’s living a charmed life. The Boston-bred actress (pictured) stars on the USA dramedy “Necessary Roughness,’’ which airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. Her costars are a trio of hunky actors: Scott Cohen, Marc Blucas, and Mehcad Brooks. “That gorgeosity mixed with the funny is what I think makes someone the sexiest for sure,’’ Thorne said during a chat at the Television Critics Association press tour in LA. “It’s what I think about Denis and Steve,’’ she added, referring to her “Rescue Me’’ costars Denis Leary and Steven Pasquale. Thorne has played Leary’s nutty ex-wife on the FX show for seven years. (The series finale is Sept. 7.) Thorne told us she has nothing but praise for her fictional ex and real-life friend: “Being with Denis was a master class.’’ The costars may be linked again, as Leary is developing and co-writing a half-hour comedy pilot about paramedics for USA.
