Reality shows in the United Kingdom are just as unimaginative as they are here. But we’re still watching Monday’s episode of “Are You Fitter Than a Senior,’’ which airs on Discovery Fit & Health. The premise of the show is simple: Two overweight, unhealthy guys from England move in with a couple of super-fit seniors. The athletic oldsters are Donald Doenges, a retired Boston Fire Department lieutenant, and his girlfriend, Dotty Baird, a retired postmaster from Bridgewater. (The couple live in a retirement community in Ocala, Fla., called On Top of the World.) How unfit were the Brits? “One of them was 24 years old and 293 pounds,’’ Dotty said, sounding disgusted. The problem, she said, is their lack of exercise and, especially, their diet. “It’s horrible, all candy bars and burgers,’’ she said. “They’re junk-food junkies.’’ Just like in the United States.
