Cat people flocked to the PetSmart in Everett the other day to show their love of all things feline to reps from Purina. The Cat Chow company is looking for a “cat correspondent.’’ The job will pay $50,000 and will have the cat lover roving the country to talk to other cat owners about their experiences. The long line of hopefuls for the gig included Stephanie Harwin, who drove from Princeton, N.J., to audition. Stephanie runs the blog catsparella.com, which features pictures of cat-themed baked goods, commentary about cat food commercials, and various photos of kitties. Most of the folks were locals, including Skye Gladstone, of Waltham, who brought a picture of her cat Mario, and Cory Martin, of Boston, who showed off his cat Madame Consuela.
