Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean entered rehab yesterday. That’s relevant to us because he and the other Backstreet Boys are supposed to be going on tour with our Boston-bred New Kids on the Block this spring. According to a statement sent out by the singer, the rehab will not affect the group’s schedule, so no worries about the June 4 gig at the TD Garden. “None of this will affect our current tour plans and I look forward to seeing everyone really soon,’’ McLean said. “Thank you for all of your support and respecting my family and friends’ privacy during this time.’’ Not surprisingly, very vocal New Kid Donnie Wahlberg took to Twitter yesterday to reiterate the point. “As a friend of AJ McLean — what matters most is his health. As a partner in the band — nothing will stop all 9 of us from doing this TOGETHER!’’
