BoSox pitcher Clay Buchholz and his fiancee, “Deal or No Deal’’ model Lindsay Clubine, will walk down the aisle today in California. The pair, who’ve been an item for over a year, are getting hitched at Trump National Golf Club in LA. A few nights before their big day, Buchholz and Clubine treated guests to a pre-celebration of sorts at Twelve + Highland, a restaurant in Manhattan Beach, Calif., organized by DB3 Productions, the event was also a fund-raiser for the Red Sox Foundation. Among those walking the red carpet were Sox players Jacoby Ellsbury, Dusty Brown, and Casey Kotchman, soccer players Zach Thornton, Ante Razov, Oguchi Onyewu, and Clubine’s “Deal or No Deal’’ colleagues Katie Cleary, Crystal Monte, and Megan Abrigo.
One happy Dolphin
Mike Dee sure chose wisely when he left the Red Sox. We’re told the former Sox COO was
this close to joining the Los Angeles Dodgers, but opted instead to become CEO of the Miami Dolphins. Smart move. Why? The Dodgers front office has been in serious flux since team owners
Frank and
Jamie McCourt became embroiled in a messy divorce. Dee, we’re told, was aggressively courted by Jamie, who’s since been fired by Frank and then followed out the door by a slew of her sympathizers, including former Sox marketing man
Charles Steinberg.
New songs on the way
Buoyed by the success of the New Kids on the Block reunion,
Joey McIntyre is releasing a seven-song EP, “Here We Go Again,’’ next week via digital retailers. The set includes collaborations with producer-writers
Brent Paschke,
Drew Ryan Scott, and
Gabe Lopez. “Every two or three years, I just get itchy and I want to make a new record,’’ McIntyre told
Billboard.com, “and being out on the road and performing so much only encouraged me more. It was quite an experience the last couple years with the New Kids; it definitely inspired me to write some stuff.’’ McIntyre plans to tour in January and rejoin NKOTB for a May 14-17 cruise.
Face time for Bridget
Tom Brady’s ex
Bridget Moynahan is teaming with actress
Sarah Jessica Parker to tout the Garnier Nutritioniste skincare line. (The two last appeared together on “Sex and the City.’’) Said Garnier president
David Greenberg: “[Bridget’s] class, grace, and accessibility make her a model representative of the brand. . . . Most importantly, she exhibits a likable, healthy beauty that speaks to our consumer in such a positive way.’’ . . . Stylist
Patrice Vinci didn’t consult GQ before prepping
Ken Cheeseman for his role in the Huntington’s “Civil War Christmas: An American Musical Celebration.’’ Cheeseman plays
Abraham Lincoln in the show, so Vinci just checked out the $5 bill. Her colleague
Larry Hamilton, meanwhile, styled actor
Lawrence Skillings, who’s in town playing Tariq in “Best of Both Worlds,’’ which opens Nov. 21 at the ART.

Friendly rivals
There’s no love lost between the Patriots and the Steelers, but the owners of the respective NFL franchises are friendly. Pats owner
Robert Kraft paid tribute to Steelers CEO
Dan Rooney at the annual gala of the American Ireland Fund. (The event was chaired by Bank of America’s
Brian Moynihan and cochaired by
Staples CFO
John Mahoney and State Street Global Advisors CEO
Scott Powers.) In addition to owning the Steelers, the 77-year-old Rooney is the US ambassador to Ireland.
Jeter cameo
World Series winner
Derek Jeter this week donned a fright wig for a cameo in “The Other Guys,’’ a cop caper costarring
Mark Wahlberg and
Will Ferrell. The Yankees captain plays himself in the film, but far in the future, when he’s done winning titles and is down on his luck. Jeter previously had a small role in the
Jack Nicholson flick “Anger Management’’ and appeared on “Seinfeld.’’ The film, which is shooting now in New York, is due to be released next summer.
Simon says
With her poodle mix
Maloney lounging on her lap,
Carly Simon sat for a chat yesterday with
Jared Bowen of “Greater Boston.’’ The singer talked about her new CD, “Never Been Gone,’’ which is produced by her son
Ben Taylor. Asked about the inspiration for “You’re So Vain,’’ Simon said the reworked version on the new CD makes the answer obvious. The interview is scheduled to air Nov. 25 on WGBH.
Violent and unplugged
Before his gig at the Middle East the other night, Violent Femmes frontman
Gordon Gano dropped by Mullen’s Boston office, treating employees of the ad agency to an unplugged version of the Femmes classic “Blister in the Sun.’’ Why? Gano is touring with
Bill and
Brendan Ryan - a.k.a. the Ryan Brothers - who are pals with Mullen creative director
Chris Brady.
