For the McGanns, 2002 proves a very bad year when Art, the oldest son of this devout clan and a priest, is accused of sex abuse. Sheila McGann, who had been estranged from the family, returns home to support her beloved brother. During this visit a series of long-hidden secrets will emerge. Jennifer Haigh chronicles the dramatic, tangled yarn of the McGanns in “Faith,” her new novel. Haigh will read from it on Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Boston Public Library in Copley Square.
