You'll hardly be bothered by those pesky shark sightings off Cape Cod if you're sitting on the beach engrossed in a book. Lynn Kiele Bonasia, who writes books set on the Cape, will be signing her latest novel, "Summer Shift,'' at Books by the Sea in South Yarmouth on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m and at the Osterville Historical Museum on Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Be prepared to give in to any sudden urges for a box of fried clams - the book is about a woman who runs a seafood restaurant in New England. Hey, it is summer after all.
