Boston area author readings Aug. 1-7

If seven is your lucky number, well, you're in luck. Seven writers from the Boston-based online literary journal We Are Champion will read from their works for seven minutes each at Brookline Booksmith starting at 7 p.m on Wednesday. The young writers (keep an eye out for them in the future) are: Jonathan Papas, Carolyn Zaikowski, Mike Young, Blake Butler, Rachel B. Glaser, Anne Cecelia Holmes, and Sasha Fletcher.

SUNDAY: Kathleen Brunelle signs “Bellamy’s Bride: The Search for Maria Hallet of Cape Cod” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Books by the Sea, 1198 Route 28, South Yarmouth ...
