To no one's surprise, the biography of Sarah Palin is burning up the presses, according to a story in the Portland Oregonian. About 40,000 copies of Kaylene Johnson's "Sarah: How a Hockey Mom Turned Alaska's Political Establishment Upside Down" were printed in the last week or so, and there may soon be 100,000 copies in print.

Meanwhile, Zondervan, the Christian-book arm of Rupert Murdoch's HarperCollins group, announced that it is rushing out on Oct. 10 a new book about the vice presidential nominee, called "Sarah Palin: A New Kind of Leader," by Joe Hilley. Johnson's book is the first on Palin, but we expect Hilley's won't be the last.
