Kindling some interest

Amazon.com, with considerable fanfare, last week rolled out the latest attempt at creating and capturing the book-reading public on a handheld device called Kindle that downloads titles for perusal. Most of the previous attempts have failed to stir readers, but Amazon reports that Kindle, which has received mixed reviews for its cost and ease of use, has already sold out temporarily, with new stocks arriving next week. Is this pump-priming, or is a small-scale revolution afoot? Stay tuned.
