It came from the blog

A tip from eagle-eyed reporter Carol Beggy leads us to a surprising addition to what Public Radio's Chris Lydon likes to call the blogosphere. Last week, mystery writer Robert Parker joined the cybertribe, though he sounded a bit like his gruff detective Spenser in announcing his arrival:
"I seem to be on a Blog. I'm not exactly sure what a Blog is. But, I'm told it can be a vehicle for interaction with readers -- so, if you have any questions you'd like to ask me (or praise you'd like to heap) fire away."
In truth, most of the traffic so far involves fan mail to the Cambridge author of three rotating mystery series. But Parker does discuss his literary influences, including Raymond Chandler and Rex Stout. What, you expected Jane Austen?
