Between the Lines
Two writers, one poignant connection
Robin Dougherty, who wrote the Globe's literary question-and-answer column for the last four years, died two weeks ago of complications from breast cancer. She wrote this previously unpublished piece after an interview with Susan Sontag, who herself died of leukemia last December.
