A 39-year-old man was killed just outside of Brockton Center Saturday night after he was struck by an MBTA train while reportedly trespassing on its right of way.
MBTA Police responded to the Brockton Commuter Rail Station around 11:15 p.m. following reports that a southbound Middleborough train had struck a pedestrian.
Both transit police detectives and the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office are investigating the accident. The man has not been publicly identified.
It is the second accident for the MBTA this weekend — a 77-year-old woman was struck by a train as it left downtown Framingham Friday morning.
