The Greater Boston area has been the setting for several iconic movie film settings. All sorts of films from crime dramas like "The Departed" and "The Town" to comedies like "Fever Pitch" and "Legally Blonde" have been drawn to the Hub thanks to tax breaks and great locations.

Larry David, who cocreated “Seinfeld” and also created and stars in HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” chose areas north of Boston to replicate Martha’s Vineyard, where the film “Clear History” — about a fallen marketing whiz — is set.
