A 24-year-old man was killed in a car crash early this morning in Hyde Park, according to State Police.
Police identified the crash victim as Patrick Fortuna, 24, of Hyde Park. They said an initial investigation showed a 2003 Honda Civic operated by Fortuna was travelling south on Hyde Park Avenue when it crossed the center line of the road way and struck a 2008 Honda Civic travelling north head on.
The two-vehicle crash occurred near the Milton Street Bridge at about 2:40 a.m., according to a statement released by State Police.
Three women and a man in the second car, being driven by a 24-year-old woman, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to area hospitals, according to a police statement. Two were dischared, while the other two were listed in stable condition.
No charges have been filed. The investigation is ongoing, police said. Hyde Park Avenue was closed for about three hours after the crash, according to the statement.
No further details were available, a State Police spokesman said.
